My creative month: January 2015

Every month there are many small projects and events in my life that don’t make it on to the blog. My Creative Month shares some interesting tutorials I’ve tried, as well as a little peek into my life.

My creative month: January 2015

Oh January, what can I say about you? You started out as such a wonderful time. After all, I began my year on an amazing cruise with my family. But then, house drama, winter weather, and some other personal challenges were such a damn bummer.

The holidays are a whirlwind for other people, too, right? Even though we decided to forgo hosting a holiday party (see below for why), December was crazy in all of the best ways.

New House(!)
So we are still in the whole process, but George and I are buying our first house!

Yikes! It is really exciting and scary all at the same time. We’ve been coordinating the sale for quite some time now, and these last details are getting a little annoying to sort out. Here are some of my other fun October adventures:

Scuba Diver -- a Halloween costume for couples

Halloween
Halloween ended up being a blast and George and I stayed out late for us– until 1am. Our matching scuba diver costumes were a hit, once people could figure out what we were! From the front a lot of people were confused. Some people thought I was a duck, and someone else a bee. Once they saw the oxygen tanks, all was resolved. Another successful Halloween: check!

My creative month - September 2014

This September was a complete whirlwind and a lot of fun. I just got new freelance responsibilities, which are keeping me busy (and paid!). I’ve also been helping in little ways on multiple projects, including painting at my friend’s new doughnut shop. But those aren’t even my stand-out projects. Here are some of the highlights:
